So you may/may not have watched Bush’s speech about immigration that involves an awesome high tech fence and unmanned surveillance drones.  There was a drinking game involved in my viewing, which is the only way I can sit through a speech from W.

Regardless if you watched the speech, apparently CNN cut to the President a bit early, resulting in the broadcasting of a rehearsal of the immigration speech from the Oval Office.  Watch for comedy gold as Bush looks to his media goons.

Apparently SNL did something interesting over the weekend.  They had Al Gore do the opening of SNL, doing a mock address to the nation.

Give it a try, its pretty funny.

If you haven’t heard about Stephen Colbert’s amazing performance at the White House Correspondents Association dinner you are officially uninformed. You must now click the link and watch the whole act. Seriously. If you’ve watched it already, watch it again because its HILARIOUS

Afterwards, there were mixed reviews.

Some thought Colbert went too far ridiculing Bush.

Others thought he kicked ass.

Its fine to have different opinions about the performance. That’s not a problem. But what did “The Big Guy” think about it? From this report, it didn’t sound like Bush enjoyed Colbert’s comedy.

I guess its hard to take a joke when the act is pointing out why you have amazingly bad approval ratings.

As a loyal Colbertist, I knew Stephen was going to go to the White House and entertain the press corps while in character. That sentence was there for those of you who don’t watch his show religiously

I’ll freely admit I’ve slept in many classes and meetings in my time. Why? Well, I get tired sometimes. Sure it happens to everyone. But I don’t try and play it off or anything. If you catch me, then you catch me.

Now, tell me his ass wasn’t sleeping. He was supposedly “reading his notes”. Yeah, in your eyelids huh? Wow, that’s a pretty pathetic excuse.

No wonder President Hu visited Bill Gates and had dinner with him. You know, like a statesman. Hu only had lunch with Bush. Just lunch.

Apparently President Hu knows where to spend his time.

Yea yea, I realize I’m a few days late on this.  Whatever, I was busy at work :-p
