Debates on your schedule

I just saw this mentioned on Real Time with Bill Maher and wow, this is convenient.

Slate and Yahoo have created an online debate where you can go and pick the candidates you want to hear from, and then pick the issue. No need to wait until one of the big networks does another one of the 500 debates we’ll have between now and the primaries. Also, it works better for people with no tv.

This is why Apple rocks

After much nerd rage yesterday following the surprise announcement of a steep iPhone price cut, Apple has gone far beyond what was expected.

$100 back, even if its just an Apple store credit, is something I was not expecting. Apple has gone above and beyond any reasonable expectations. Thanks Apple. I’ll be happy to let you take more of my money in the future :)

Steve Jobs just raped me for $200

Apple dropped the price of the 8gig iPhone down from $599 to $399 today.

My early adopting self just got raped on the order of $200 for not waiting to get the phone until today. Ouch. At least if I look at it from a long term view, the iPhone and the data plan were gonna cost about $2,000 over the course of two years. Now it’ll only cost about $1,800 over the course of two years. That makes it hurt less I suppose.

Still, $200 down the drain for jumping on this boat early. Ouch.
