A Cat Train?

Is it just me or does this train look like a cat?

East Japan Railway Co. on Friday unveiled a new shinkansen in the town of Rifu, Miyagi Prefecture, that will run at a speed of 360 kph, which may make it the world’s fastest train.

If goats could fly

Its been a while since I wrote some random ramblings. Work is finally clearing up, so I once again have free time at night, instead of conference calls or answering email. Those aren’t my dream activities at night if you were wondering.

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas came out at just the right time fortunately :-) I’ve been playing that a lot recently and its a whole shitload of fun. Gang wars, 90s hip hop, lots of fun. Forza Motorsports is a lot of fun too, a lot like Grand Tourismo on the PS2. Its a bunch of fun too, but definitely doesn’t have a compelling storyline like San Andreas.

Got a Razr V3 recently and had to change my phone number. I found out through a series of conversations with the wireless phone minions that there was no way I could hang on to my Pittsburgh number. So much for hanging onto that number forever :-P Phones with cameras can be incriminating, but admittedly it is sorta fun to be able to take pictures of random things without always thinking about carrying my digital camera. In general the Razr is a pretty sweet phone, well built, and has all the functions I really want. The phonebook sucks donkey balls though, its pretty primitive. The phonebook on my Sany 6200 was better, and thats sad. That phone is nearly four years old!

Deep Discount DVD is having a 20% coupon right now (code is DVDTALK) and I’ve been pondering expanding my dvd collection. I have a feeling that might get expensively fun :-) Deep Discount guarentees their prices are the lowest, and now they’re stacking 20% off on top, which is even better.

My basil has been growing incredibly fast lately and I’ve had to resort to collecting and preserving the leaves now. It should make for some tasty food. Preserving the leaves in olive oil does seem to work fairly well, so I’ve been going with that for the time being.

I’ve been considering joining up Navy Field, a MMORPG. Yes yes, an online game. I’ve been fighting the urge for a while now, and with good reason: I’m a cheapass. However, this one is free and appeals to my war simulation fantasies. Maybe I’ll join up and waste some hours like that :-)

Cops: a bunch of party poopers. Like they wouldn’t try and run their Porsche sports cars at 120mph given the chance.

Washington State Patrol troopers pulled over Porsches, Ferraris and
even a Lamborghini on Interstate 5 this weekend as more than 50
drivers, many in luxury cars, set out on a five-day rally that involves
driving from city to city to collect poker cards.

A Different Side of Ben Stein

Ben Stein had an awesome show on Comedy Central.  He definitely seems like a very intelligent and free thinking guy.  He definitely had a different perspective on Deep Throat….

Take a look at this picture. Note the guys in the background….he’s some Republican from NJ.

Now take a look at this picture of Dean. Note the guys in the background once again. See anyone you know??

Talk about weak. At least get new cronies for your pictures :-)

He’s back!

Welcome back Dave.  Please make us laugh again.

The comedian made two stops Wednesday — Hollywood Improv at 10 p.m. and the Comedy Store at midnight — treating crowd of 200 and 20, respectively, to some unrehearsed standup.
