Older != wiser
So between my last post and now I had my birthday. Supposedly older folks are wiser. I don’t feel any wiser, just same as before. Its all a scam by the old folks who just miss their youth =P Michi called it out on her blog, her blog is kinda boring too huh? ^~Nah, didn’t do anything too special for my bday. Thought about raiding a few bars and cashing in on free shots. Then came the realization that the shots would be watered down and shitty. Fortunately liquor is easy to get once your past 21 ^^Another version of the site went out, a service pack this time. Bugfix releases are pretty boring so nothing special happened. Started doing some more stuff for the next interim release. Found out that calculating APR is a royal bitch, as it has to be solved numerically. No analytical solution is possible. No wonder financial calculators have an APR button, and finance books have an APR chart in the back.Its been a while since I’ve done things like that (since school) but its good to brush off the cobwebs in the mind and work on some real math (no matter how Intro to Calculus difficulty it is) =POrdered a new pair of glasses/frames the other day. Its surprisingly hard to find a nice looking pair of glasses in this town. Ended up going to a shop downtown in order to get the stuff I want. Relatively cheap too I suppose, since I had insurance and all that fun crap. Still think its a scam, but eh, I got my money’s worth a year ago with the painkillers, therapy, and painkillers =) Gotta find a way to milk it while this fiscal year is still here, hahaha.DeepDiscountDVD had a serious sale, so I finally scored Kurosawa’s 4 movie set (Seven Samurai / The Hidden Fortress / Yojimbo / Sanjuro) and the Simpson’s Season 4 dvd set. All excellent dvd sets. Season 4 is when the Simpson’s really started to get funny.Been playing a lot of Warcraft 3 lately with Michi and Al (http://avatrix.pitas.com/). Its a pretty quality game, a lot more fun than Starcraft or Red Alert 2. The whole game being up to date and supported is a good thing you know. Command and Conquer Generals is super fun too, but that game takes a beast of a video card to run properly. It does look really nice though if you have the hardware to support it.Bleh, thats about it.
