This weekend was almost tolerable temperature wise. I’m shocked. The rain we got helped I’m sure. Its nice to be able to open a window and not use the a/c for once.Didn’t do jack shit this weekend. Friday, just hung out and watched some more Kenshin. Thought about going to see \”Once Upon a Time in Mexico\”, but laziness got the better of me, and I was kinda in the middle of a really good part of Kenshin, so I passed. Yesterday, went to get some Indian food. Gourged and filled myself as always, then went to Sam’s club to get some reloads of some basics. Got home, watched some more Kenshin, played some games, found out SNL was a shitty rerun, and went to bed.Today, stuck my head out long enough to go get some groceries. Spent the afternoon watching the Family Guy Volume 2 DVDs, along with the new Futurama and Simpsons DVDs. They need to hurry up with the Simpsons DVD releases. I’ve already gotten two seasons of Futurama and the whole Family Guy series, but I only have the first three Simpsons. Argh!Watched Conan’s 10th anniversary show. It rocked. Hilarity abounded. Good good shit.Made some curry tonight, damn good. I’m on a curry kick or something.Got a new scanner and dvd drive for my main computer. Fry’s rocks, got both for $73 after tax. A cheap BTC DVD drive, and a cheap Canon scanner. Good enough, they do the job and are cheap replacements for broke stuff I have. Might just use Gallery (http://gallery.sf.net) instead of writing my own picture album system, which is dragging on and inspires me less and less. That and matching the functionality of something like that would be hard. But then, you could ask why I wrote my weblog too. Hehe, who knows, maybe I’ll be inspired at some point….Got kernel 2.6.0-test5 running on my Thinkpad. Its a shitload more responsive now. Makes me wonder how much faster it can get….Try Mozilla Firebird if you haven’t already. Its the goodness of Mozilla (pop-up blocking, tabbed browsing, fast) in a smaller and even faster package.
