No tag for this post.Didn’t do all that much, as usual, during the week. Work makes life boring like that =) Besides, who’d wanna hear about me programming stuff in my blog??Sent Michi her graduation present a little early so I could get it just the way I wanted. I think she likes it ^^Went to a local event on Thursday night. DJ Dano (from San Fran) was spinning some house. It was ok, but I expected more. His name is typically associated with hard house, but he sure wasn’t spinning any of that. Stayed out pretty late, which made Friday all the more painful =PWent to happy hour on Friday night. Contrary to logic, happy hour lasts way more than just one hour =P Don’t understand the point of the name, but hey, I’m not the one doing it. Got home at a decent hour and watched a few movies before I went to bed.Saturday, went to see the Red Bull Flugtag (http://www.redbullflugtagtexas.com/) event. It was hot as hell outside, and unfortunately, my lazy butt didn’t get there until about 1:30pm, when it started around 1:00pm. Ended up being across the river and watching it from a distance. Unfortunately, my zoom lense on my camera isn’t even close to being enough to make pictures from the event enjoyable. That, and the battery went out after a few pictures. Oops ^^Later that afternoon went to Eeyore’s Birthday Party (http://www.sexton.com/eeyores/). Basically a big hippie get together. I guess Austin is where hippies who can’t afford to get to California end up ^_^. I had nothing else better to do, so I went down with some friends. Unfortunately, when I was parking, I brushed a curb with an evil edge on it a little too hard. My poor car’s front right rim is now scratched up =( I’ll have to see about getting it refinished, or worst case, replaced. Those rims cost about $200/each even though they’re just stock alloys. Curbs with sharp edges should be banned…The actual party was kind of pointless. Basically, a bunch of hippies running around and getting sweaty. Nothing is worse than a dirty smelly hippie, since they haven’t discovered deoderant yet…Chilled at home Saturday night. Went to see LOTR: The Two Towers again at the dollar theater today. It really is a good movie. Thats about it. Suddenly, its one hour from Monday and I’m wondering what the hell happened to the weekend…

No tag for this post.It was a pretty lazy weekend. Friday, met up with some folks after work and made some burgers. Easy lazy food =) Hung out and watched TV for the rest of the night.Saturday, a few of us had planned to go to some music festival downtown. But it looked like it was going to rain (and did rain) for most of the day. So that idea was kicked out. Eventually, met up with some folks for dinner, then went downtown to an electronica show. I was hoping the music would be decent, but it ended up being mostly ambient/chillout music that I’m not a big fan of.Woke up unfortunately early this morning, considering the time I got back last night. Was going to go get groceries today, but all the supermarkets were closed. I understand its Easter, but come on, people still gotta eat =P Fortunately, I have some extra stuff I could make.Watched the movies Equilibrium and Hero this weekend. Both are awesome. Equilibrium is a dark Matrix-esque movie, but with some awesome action scenes. Hero is a Jet-Li movie that just rocks. Great cinematography, similar to Crouching Tiger.Ate too much curry a little while ago. The food coma is strong today….O_o

No tag for this post.Carnival was a blast. It was great seeing folks I haven’t seen since last year. It was great partying with them and just having a good time. It was great going to old haunts and enjoying ourselves like while we were in school. Makes me miss the good old days of school. Damn, I sound like an old fart already =PSince that seems like a vague as hell overview, here’s the beef:I got in Thursday night, in time to see Dave Attell (from Insomniac) perform at Carnival. The act opening for him sucker competely. I’m glad we started booing the hell out of him; the guy deserved it. He didn’t even bother researching his audience. CMU isn’t a bar. Don’t focus on jokes for bars. Dave fortunately saved the day. It was good.Spent most of the remaining night hanging out with some friends I partied with sophomore year. It was good seeing them again.Friday was mostly spent waiting for night to come so the parties would be kicking. Unfortunately, Norm is cursed and never has his cellphone on trips, and Dave wasn’t available to party. I ended up going to the good old PHI and drank a few pitchers with some old MechE friends and folks from my freshman floor.Saturday was full of paintballing. Lots of fun, even though it took us forever to get everyone at the UC turnaround so we could leave. Its always the folks with the cars who take the longest =)That night, went to the OC to get some food, then Club Joy to drink and do that karaoke thing. I didn’t, I don’t sing =P One of our companions got sick that night, but he ended up being ok.Sunday morning was torture. Breakfasts at 10am after a long night of partying are just painful. It was good to see some folks one last time before they headed off though. Found Michi that afternoon and hung out with her. More on that later… Went to D&B with Gaku and Chacko, shot some pool.Today was mostly full of me packing, then saying goodbye to everyone. Ate lunch with Michi for one last time in Pittsburgh, talked some, then went to my flight. I don’t think I’ll be back in Pittsburgh for a long time now. I could be wrong, but it just felt that way.I had to face a truth I’ve been avoiding since Thanksgiving. Unfortunately, that also means I’ll have to get over that truth now. I’m not sure why I was avoiding it, but whats done is done. I’m glad Michi’s been able to move on. I’m also glad we’re still good friends. At least some good came out of our relationship.Thats it, where’s my raman. =P
