So you drove some in Austin

This link pretty much summarizes my feelings in this regard: http://www.kuro5hin.org/story/2002/7/30/15328/1925I mean, yeah, this is evident somewhat in other places, including afluent areas, but this area is ridiculous!Last night’s grocery shopping was well worth it. Nice frozen shumai, fresh vegetables, thats what I’m talking about.Found my computer at work today. Its not too bad, basically my Thinkpad T21 in a Dell Latitude form. Even got a wireless card in the deal. Not too shabby. At least I won’t have to deal with wires all the time. And its another device to throw on the wireless at my place, hehe.

Roger Moore was a shitty James Bond

Another Monday, another day at work. Somewhat interesting stuff was presented in training today, stuff that might almost be practical. Note the qualifier “almost”. We’ll see if it pans out or not.Otherwise, nothing much happened. Crazy amounts of grocery shopping to restock my completely empty fridge.Apparently another IBM drive died back at home. That makes two in the last two months. Pretty ridiculous if you ask me. Too bad IBM doesn’t make tough hard driveslike they used to. I have an 8 gig, 6 years old and going strong. Maybe thats why they sold their hard drive business to Hitachi…But their laptops are still kickass ^_^

Road trip…

Went to Houston for the weekend to hang out with some friends. Good times were had. Houston has that whole urban sprawl thing going on, although not nearly as bad at Atlanta is.Last week of training at work is coming up. Finally, the end is in reach. Real work is on its way, or at least the possibility of real work =)

So boring I’m gonna shit myself…

Yup, it was that bad today. It was just painful. All well, happy hour was nice.Watching Conan O`Brien for the first time in a long time. I forgot how hilarious he is. Leno, and even Letterman, just aren’t as funny as this guy. That and his guests are great.Went to watch Undercover Brother the other night at the dollar theater. I’m so glad I didn’t go watch this at any other theater. Funny, yes. Worth more than a dollar or so?? Hell no. It felt like Get Smart (http://www.wouldyoubelieve.com/), updated for today.Austin Powers 3 is probably going to be the same way for me. The first was hilarious, the second one had its moments. The third one, its going to be the same jokes from the first two. Sure, sometimes sequels are great, but this one just feels like a money grab.

You’ve probably seen/heard about the new Apple commercials, with PC users switching over the Macs. I love Macs, they’re examples of a company where industrial engineering hasn’t gone the way of the dodo just yet…But this commercial is too funny. Here’s the original:http://www.apple.com/switch/ads/ellenfeiss.htmlNow, here’s the spoofs ^_^http://www.wemakedotcoms.com/ellen/
